Netflix prices hike in the US, starting at $12

Netflix recently released its financial reports for the last quarter. Along with the report, it was also announced that there will be price increases for the US. This hike follows the last price update early last year. So will the US Netflix hike affect Turkey?

New Netflix prices for the US

Sharing its reports for the third quarter of the year, Netflix informed its customers that it increased the subscription cost. Accordingly, the Basic plan, which started at $10, will now cost $12 per month. The top version, called Premium, was raised from $20 to $23.

However, the recently launched ad-supported subscription will remain unchanged. It should be noted that this tier has been offered at $7 since its introduction.

On the other hand, the streaming giant gained 8.76 million subscribers in the last quarter, bringing its total membership to over 247 million worldwide. While a significant portion of this growth came from the ad-supported plan, subscription growth grew by nearly 70 percent compared to the previous period.
